When I first walked into a gym, the only thing I liked about it was the door on the way out. I grew up playing baseball but my focus was always on the field of play. However, I knew the benefits of having a healthy lifestyle and was well aware of how it could have a positive impact on my performance. The better I worked out, the better I played. Soon enough, I began to enjoy working out not just because of how my performance on the baseball diamond improved, but also because I truly liked tackling the different challenges I faced in the gym.
After 4 years of college ball, 7 years of pro ball, and a TON of miles on a bus, I decided to hang up the cleats and pursue a career in fitness. As a certified personal trainer (ACE) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (NSCA), I love working with all different types of clients. However, my biggest passion is being able to work with athletes. Helping athletes improve their performance on the field with sport-specific workouts is my specialty and I truly enjoy the entire process.
When I’m not at the gym, I’m likely with my amazing wife (Amber) and our two dogs (the worst brothers in the world- Axel and Rawlings). You may also find me coaching some high school baseball in the area as well.
