Fitness and sports have always come naturally to me. I have played just about every sport you can imagine and loved almost every one of them.
I grew up in the gymnastics gym but also dabbled in football, track, volleyball, baseball, and basketball. My world was rocked when I suffered a serious back surgery at 15. I was coaching gymnastics when a fellow coach came up to me and said, “Why don’t you try diving?” I told her that I had only been on a diving board a few times and only for recreation. Never in my life did I think I could compete. But after three months of summer-club diving, I went on to dive at the University of Cincinnati for four years and competed at the Big East Championships.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy running, cross training (boxing, spinning, boot camp), and hanging out with friends. I’m a foodie at heart with a major sweet tooth. I have the cutest dog on this planet (sorry Emily, Auggie takes the cake). And I love to make people sweat and feel beautiful in their own skin.
