About Emily Thomas

I always knew I would end up in the fitness world one day, but I am happy to say it happened quicker than I thought! I thoroughly enjoy being in the gym, sweating, and pushing myself each and every day. I love watching my clients accomplish things that they have always wanted to. It’s so amazing to be able to say, “I love what I do!” Owning BeneFit studio has been a great blessing.

I have been an athlete all my life, competing in swimming all the way up until I graduated from the University of Cincinnati. I loved being a Bearcat Swimmer, but have not been in the pool very much since. I have ran 10 marathons, including the 2013 Boston Marathon, which was a life-changing experience. I hope to do an IronMan sometime in the near future.

My husband Kyle and I as well as our adorable puppy Alfredo recently added a new addition to our family-a little girl named Ivy! She gets to live the gym life with me. She loves hanging out at BeneFit. Hopefully she will be doing burpees with Mommy soon! Going through pregnancy and having a child definitely flipped my world around, and has broadened my view on fitness. I hope to inspire all out there and really encourage women to stay healthy and active. I love sharing about my adventure.

When I am not at the gym, chances are I am relaxing at home with my family. I love a good movie and pizza once in a while! I also enjoy naps more than ever now…with a growing little outgoing girl, I know I will need it!!!
